The commune’s 2024 official report says the new tariff schedule, planned from 1 January 2025, is CHF 3–6 per person per night for hotels of all categories and for apartments, villas, studios, rooms and aparthotels; CHF 1.50–3 for campsites and comparable accommodation. The top adult tier is therefore CHF 6 per person per night. For Airbnb, the Vaud-wide collection agreement specifies CHF 3 per person per night.
The official municipal report explicitly records the adopted amendment exempting children under 16 when accompanied by an adult. It also states that the revised regulation removed the separate reference to indigent persons because the other exemption provisions cover the relevant situations; the report does not reproduce the complete current Article 5 list.
Short-term rental operators in Vaud must be recorded in the commune’s electronic landlord register. A landlord must register at least 10 days before the first night and report the activity monthly. Short-term rental means, in this context, a period up to 90 days. Yverdon’s revised regulation provides for automatic collection on Airbnb; Airbnb collects CHF 3 per person per night and remits it through the Union of Vaud Municipalities. The municipal report says the revised regulation was intended to enter into force on 1 January 2025.
